- Acceptance of Terms
By using Market Map Online Marketplace (“the Platform”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
- User Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old or have legal capacity to enter into contracts to use the Platform. Businesses and individuals using the Platform must provide accurate and truthful information.
- Account Registration
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activities under your account.
- Services Provided
Market Map Online Marketplace provides a digital platform for businesses to list products and services, and for customers to browse, book and purchase online. We act as an intermediary and do not directly sell products or services.
- User Responsibilities
- Customers must provide accurate information when making purchases or bookings.
- Users agree not to use the Platform for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- Businesses must ensure that all listings are accurate, lawful, and comply with applicable regulations.
- Businesses agree to list and sell products and/or services on the Platform and fulfill orders placed by customers through the Platform in accordance with the terms set forth in these Terms & Conditions.
- Businesses shall ensure all products and services listed are of high quality, comply with applicable laws and standards and match the descriptions provided on the Platform.
- Businesses commit to fulfilling and delivering all orders received through the Platform promptly and within seven (7) days of receiving the customer order.
- Businesses shall notify the customer and Platform immediately if an order cannot be fulfilled or if there are any delays.
- Businesses are responsible for packaging, shipping and delivery of goods or provision of services as agreed with the customer.
- The following is mandatory to provide as proof of delivery for physical goods:
i) Date of delivery (YYYY-MM-DD) and delivery status; and
ii) An address for the recipient showing the city/province, city/country, postal/zip code (or international equivalent), street name & number. The address needs to match the shipping address approved at the point of checkout; and
iii) Full name of the person who ordered the goods that matches the person’s name approved at the point of checkout; and
iv) Full name of the recipient that the order was delivered to;
v)Tracking ID for the shipment of the last mile carrier; and
vi) Signature of receiver required for all deliveries.
- If Business or shipping carrier tries to deliver to the original shipping address but fails to do so, they are entitled to take it to their pickup point for collection within ten (10) kilometers of the original shipping address, and notify the receiver of the new pick up point address and details.
- Business shall maintain clear and timely communication with customers and the Platform regarding order status, inquiries and any issues.
- Business upon charging the Customer a fee for uncollected goods have it clearly stated in their terms and conditions before purchase on the platform and the charge shall not be equal or exceed the order value.
- Business shall fully refund the Customer if the parcel has not reached the customer and the customer has not had an opportunity to pick up the order. Market Map defines a package as being lost in transit when there is no movement on the tracking for seven (7) days.
- Payments for orders will be processed through the Platform’s integrated payment system.
- Market Map Online Marketplace will deduct a commission of between six comma five to seven comma two percent (6.5%-7.2%) from the total order value before remitting payments to the Business.
- The Platform will remit payments to the Business after delivery of the goods and within three (3) to five (5) business days of order delivery after deducting the commission.
- Business agrees to open an account for Market Map to pre fund fast moving goods on the platform in order to expedite delivery for such goods from time to time, Market Map at its sole discretion will decide which goods to prefund.
- Business agrees to honor the Platform’s cancellation and return policies as communicated to customers.
- In case of cancellations or returns, the Business shall cooperate with the Platform to resolve issues promptly.
- Business is solely responsible for the quality and delivery of products/services.
- Business should store the proof of deliveries for three hundred (300) days after the delivery date.
- Business agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Market Map Online Marketplace from any claims, damages, or losses arising from Business’ failure to fulfil orders or provide quality products/services.
- Payments and Transactions
All payments made through the Platform are processed securely. Businesses shall be solely responsible for their own tax obligations, including filing and paying any taxes due to the Government of Zimbabwe arising from their sales on the platform.
The total payment payable by the business for using the platform shall consist of:
- Six comma five to seven comma two percent (6.5%-7.2%) commission on the selling price of products and services, plus
- The applicable package listing subscription fee
- Refunds and Cancellations
A customer must submit a refund request within seven (7) calender days of receiving the product or service. Refunds and cancellations are subject to the individual policies of the businesses listed on the Platform. However, all businessses shall adhere to Market Map Refund Policy and these Terms and Conditions for products and services purchased on the platform. Market Map Online Marketplace may (i) assist with engagement with business if the business cancels or fails to deliver as agreed; (ii) at its own discretion, may request the business to deposit a refund budget for customers should it have considerable disputed sales/deliveries or may terminate the use of the platform for the business. A refund will be necessary and should be considered when customer alleges to Market Map that the order received significantly deviates from what was ordered. The significant deviation request is seen as valid and will be forwarded to business if: (i) The item is significantly different from its description; (ii) The Customer received a completely different item; (iii) The condition of the item was misrepresented; (iv) The item was advertised as authentic but is not authentic (counterfeit); (v) The item is missing parts or features; (vi) The item was damaged during shipment; (vii) The item is unusable in its received state and was not disclosed as such. When a reasonable solution in relation to the deviation of the product has been initiated to the Customer for the above claims, or business provide evidence to prove the Customer's claim is invalid, the customer will be held accountable for payment. A reasonable solution in relation to the deviation of the product shall include (i) Parts being sent out to the Customer making the order complete; (ii) Compensation offered for a product that is working but does not fully match its description; (iii) Repair services offered to fix the deviation; or (iv) Offer or schedule a return for a refund.
- Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Market Map Online Marketplace or its licensors. Users may not reproduce or use content without permission.
- Limitation of Liability
Market Map Online Marketplace is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages whatsoever arising from the use of the Platform or transactions conducted through it. This website may incorporate links to other sites. These links are offered for your expediency to present further information. They do not indicate that we approve the website (s). We have no liability for the content of the linked information.
- Termination
- Market Map Online Marketplace reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts or access to the Platform for violations of these Terms & Conditions or any unlawful behavior.
- Market Map Online Marketplace reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Business’ access to the Platform for breach of these terms and conditions, including but not limited to (i) failure to fulfil orders within the stipulated timeframe; (ii) sale of prohibited products and services; (iii) for high dispute rates that aren’t promptly remedied; (iv) failure to refund customer for damaged/faulty goods/goods that are different from the ones advertised or failure to deliver purchased goods; and (iv) using platform for any illegal activities.
- Companies Documentation Uploaded on Platform
We allow companies to upload registration documents to make sure that companies are registered, but we do not have the statutory power or capability to verify the accuracy of the registration information that companies upload. The fact that the information has been placed on the public record should not be taken to indicate that Market Map has verified or validated it in any way.
- Changes to Terms
Market Map Online Marketplace may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Registered users may be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
- Governing Laws
The use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website is subject to the laws of England.
